A LOOK INSIDE: Crown of Midnight
Below is a look inside my brain as I read a Crown of Midnight. There aren't as many thoughts for this book because I got so invested, I forgot to write them down!
OMG I am so happy that Celaena didn't actually kill her targets. A part of me is surprised though - this doesn't seem like the assassin she is known as. But I guess now she has friends who think more of her
Idk how I feel about Archer but I do like that Chaol is jealous
Dorrian needs to get over himself
FINALLY
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Killing off Nehima was exactly what Celaena needed to start fighting back. Sucks that Chaol got stuck in the middle - that was heartbreaking. I wish Celaena would forgive him enough to be friends with him again. Or at least Dorian.
"I understand" yes, I love seeing Celaena start to let someone in.
I am here for this friendship. I like them better as friends.
Why do I imagine Han Solo in the carbonite for this thing being stuck in the doorway.
Archer set everything up?! Oh shit
I love seeing the little pieces finally fall into place. SJM did a great job at sprinkling needed info throughout both books letting the characters and readers piece it all together at the same time.
SJM also does a fantastic job at cliffhangers for the next book! I wonder about Aelin’s master (can’t remember how to spell name) if he was the one that killed her parents and then realized that bringing her in, training her, making her his was worth more than killing her. He would be able to use her and use her heritage against her. I think he always planned on betraying her
I love how much of Aelins personality that we see. Someone pointed out that she isn’t a murderer she is an assassin, there is a difference and I full heartedly agree.
