This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens 5/5
If you like a book from multiple points of view, a heart wrenching then heartwarming English romance then this is the book for you. I love flashback chapters which this book was full of and added so much depth to the story. I can't wait to reread this one when I need a nice story to make me smile! Definitely one you can read multiple times!
Beach Read by Emily Henry 4/5
Wow, another fantastic book from Emily Henry. The only reason that I took away a star was because there were times during the middle of the book that lulled for me, felt slow. I know this isn’t an action book or anything but definitely some slow parts.
Henry does a great job of making you think you know the ending but then having you second guess yourself up until the last couple of chapters. Was Gus going to leave her for Naomi? Was this more about January falling back in love with writing? Whose love story was this? But then in the last few chapters all is answered (thankfully). I thought it was the perfect ending and fit the books so beautifully. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry 5/5
Wonderful take on Hallmark movies that is heart wrenching and beautiful. I loved the take on tropes. While I could figure out the ending, it was done in such a fantastic way that I was okay with it. I read it in one sitting, I didn't want to put it down!
**An interesting thought about Emily Henry books: I just noticed what her titles and covers mean. Wow, they are much more thought out than I thought. I realized it after reading my second book of hers: Beach Read that the title hints towards the ending of each book. I plan to read People We Meet on Vacation to see if my theory pans out.
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover 4/5
This one wasn't my favorite CoHo book despite all of the hype on social media for it. It deals heavily with domestic violence and does an excellent job at portraying toxic traits and how someone could stay when society just asks "why don't they just leave". There is also a beautiful love story interwoven into it but the story with Atlas at the end did feel rushed. I am excited to read the second book coming out soon.
November 9 by Colleen Hoover 5/5
This is one of my absolute favorites. Maybe it is because I went through something similar (not exact but similar). This book puts you on a roller coaster. I wanted to scream at this book as many times as it made me cry. Definitely one I wish I could read again. It felt like a good transition book from young adult to adult romance since we see the characters grow up.
Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover 5/5
I love how there was a mystery incorporated within the romance. This book is absolutely heart wrenching, hits you in the gut type of book. It made me so angry knowing that all Kenna wanted was to know her daughter and that she was innocent! I swear, this book ripped out my heart and then put it back together. That epilogue as well, wow!
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover 5/5
Read this in one sitting, I did not want to put it down. I wanted to know why Miles didn't want a relationship, what Tate's brother was going to think. I just needed to know how it was going to end.
