Wow, they weren't kidding when they said this season was going to more adult. The swearing, the scare factor, the explicitness, that end credit scene? Wow.

I wanted to love this episode, and I did love parts of it. But not enough. It felt too forced, too lined up, and many scenes felt out of character. So what happened?

Wow. For a midseason finale that was amazing. It was intense, it furthered the plot in so many complicated ways, and pulled at your heart strings. If Criminal Minds does anything well - it is cliffhangers.

Oh wow, this episode felt SO much better! This was a classic Criminal Minds episode. I loved how familiar this episode was. They brought in aspects from when the show was on the air while also still making it new. We had little bits of the unsub, left off with cliffhangers, introduced new aspects/twists into the plot but got to see the team solve a case.

After the first 2 episodes, I had high hopes for the third. While it was good - I was still let down a bit. This one did not seem to be as action packed or shocking as the first 2. This episode spent a lot of time on the Unsub (Elias). We got to see more about what his life is like, what triggers him, his thought process and why he might be doing this.

The rumors are finally a reality! A short 2.5 years after the 15 season show ended, we already have a reboot season. They have named it Criminal Minds: Evolution but have also listed it as Season 16 so it doesn't rule out this continuing.
