Synopsis:
As Stefan struggles to deal with his past, he and Damon reveal to Elena how they became vampires. Elsewhere, Pearl goes up against John Gilbert, Damon and Alaric race to find one of Jonathan Gilbert's inventions before John does, and Jeremy's feelings for Anna grow.

You know its gonna be a good episode when it starts with flashbacks
I am honestly more impressed that their dad was able to accurately shoot them in the dark from that far away

Human Damon and Stefan are so odd. I can’t believe Stefan continued to defend their dad and Damon was suicidal. Now they are switching places.

How stupid is John to think that he could win Pearl over? When all she has thought about for 150 years is destroy the gilbert family
Henry - another tomb vamp. The numbers really don’t add up.
So you get super hearing in transition?
Elena is ballsy
Poor henry - he just wanted to live and figure out this new world
In this one moment I feel bad for Pearl, being manipulated
The irony of G Salvatore being killed by his vampire son, the only one who defended him is so good

I am so ready for Anna to stand up to Pearl
Elena doing homework?! Thats a first
“Turn it off, like a switch” finally getting to that part of the lore
Stefan couldn’t imagine a world without Damon in it and Damon didn’t want to live in a world without Katherine.
Would Katherine have stepped in to force them to feed?
Do we learn the story of how Katherine saved Emily’s life? Katherine really liked saving people’s lives only to use them for favors
Stefan is alcoholic coded - i wonder if the writers did research on how alcoholics impact families?
Choices, such a big theme in this show
Honestly, I am so proud of stefan for realizing that his past doesn’t define him. And just because he feels guilty, he doesn’t have to die
Pearl dying, but whoever it was not killing harper is so random. I forget who it was (jk they killed harper too) Oh, it was John! How did he get good at doing that?
Damon coming in second to Stefan when it comes to Katherine makes my heart hurt for him. And Anna finding her mom dead, spending so long working to get her back and just aww
Freaking. Isobel. Showing up when he decides he is done looking for her.
